Thank you for your efforts in helping to make our Terry Fox Run 2019 a success. Even though the weather did not cooperate, we appreciate how everyone made the best of things indoors. As a school we raised $2311.85. This means we will be able to send $1155.93 to both the Terry Fox Foundation and Adaura. It is also impressive that in total over the years Central has been able to raise $47 617.80 for the Terry Fox Foundation which is the most in the District. Thanks again for all your efforts towards this cause.
Good Morning Everyone
We are sorry for the short notice but due to weather concerns we will be running our Terry Fox Run Indoors today. Classes will come to the gym throughout the day and run in 20 minute blocks. Attached is a schedule which shows when classes are coming to the gym. Please feel free to come and join us when your child is running. Once again we apologize for the short notice.
We will be having our annual Terry Fox Run at 2pm on Thursday Sept. 26th 2019. We had an assembly to introduce the event on Sept 23rd and currently we are having a penny drive leading up to the run on Sept. 26th. All proceeds will be split between the Terry Fox Foundation and Adaura Cayford. There will also be popcorn and a movie going to the Primary and Intermediate classes that raise the most money. Please feel free to come and join us for our run on September 26th.
The City of Fort St. John and region are excited to host the BC Winter Games February 20-23. School District 60 is a partner group in this substantial community initiative and will be supporting the games through the use of our facilities and volunteers.
On Thursday, February 20th and Friday, February 21st, there will be no regular instruction at any school sites nor will there be any busses transporting students. Students are encouraged to participate and support the games through competition, volunteering and spectating.
