What a terrific ARTS week full of energy and excitement. On Wednesday we had our Fun Day as students were sent out to participate in an activity of their choice as a community builder. Judging by the smiles upon their return, it was a blast and the weather cooperated which made it that much more enjoyable. On Thursday classes took part in the “Central Characteristics” activity, where each class picked a characteristic, which they believed would be the ideal goal for a Central student. Thursday we also had our “Festival of Colours” which celebrated diversity, as Mrs. McEachern and her gr.4/5 class did a great job and really got the energy going. On Friday we wrapped up with our Artists in Residency Assembly. Ashley Campbell (local artist) worked in depth with 4 classes over the last couple months and collaborated to create some excellent dance performances. They were incredible and there was even a special dance at the end that summed up how much fun the adults have at Central as well. What a great week and thank you to every member of the Central Community on creating such an amazing vibe in the school. Enjoy the break and we will see you all in April.
