This year we have decided to run monthly ADST Values Sessions. These sessions will run for about an hour and include multi age groups. Each month groups will rotate to work on an activity that ties into one of our school values. We will be starting with our first session on Monday October 1st 2018 at 1:20pm with a flag project. Each student will be given a cloth flag that they can decorate in a way that represents their uniqueness. We will also look to provide a bunch of items that we can put in each classroom that will be there when they arrive but we also encourage students to bring in any items they may want to stick on their flags or markers/etc they may want to use. We do ask students to have all materials they wish to use in a bag or some sort as they may be working in an area away from their classroom.
When considering what to put on their flags we will be using the following questions.
- What’s special about you? What’s AWESOME about you?
- What are your favorite things to do? To see? To hear? To eat?
- What are you most passionate and excited about?
- What are you a fan of?
- What are you best known for among your friends and family?
- What are you most proud about yourself?
- What groups do you belong to? What groups would you like to belong to?
