Welcome to the School Garden Fundraiser. We hope that you will support us and in turn plant your own garden to enjoy. 50% of all our sales will go towards purchasing seeds and hand tools for the school.
The Ecole Central School and Friends Garden will be located on the south side of the school just off of the primary wing. It will be a fully enclosed space with raised beds. Our goal is to plant a variety of vegetables and berries with an assortment of flowers for students to enjoy and appreciate. Due to the growing season of the North Peace we cannot sustain the garden for long, but our goal is to expose students to seed bed preparation, planting, maintenance (weeding/watering) and with luck, harvest in September. A number of outside children’s programs will be utilizing and working the garden over the summer months. However, if any parents wish to become involved please contact the PAC. We welcome all interested volunteers.
The final date for the the forms to be returned is April 22, 2011. Cash Only Please. The only information required on the envelope is your child’s name and teacher. After we submit our order you can expect your purchase within 2-3 weeks. Hopefully we will be planting our gardens by the May long weekend. Thank you for your support and happy gardening!
